Welcome to
Barcelona
The city that is
made up
of 4,589 streets.
About half of its streets
are
named after plants,
animals,
places and
numbers.
The other half are
named after people.
38% are named
after men.
And only 8% of
Barcelonas streets are
named after women.
But if we remove
religious
figures,
and members of the
nobility, were left
with only 5%
In other words,
of the 1,377km
streets
in Barcelona...
Only 62.6km are
named after women.
Streets named after
women are
also
about 62 meters
shorter
than streets
named after men.
And most are not
in the city center.
Whats up
with that?!
